The Associate Director of Recruitment and Marketing manages all activities related to recruitment, marketing, and admissions for the Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability Management (MS-ESM) program to ensure that we meet enrollment goals. The Associate Director also partners with the internal marketing teams and external marketing firms to support paid advertising campaigns for programs across the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions portfolio.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute marketing, recruitment and admissions plans for the MS-ESM program
- Support all aspects of MS-ESM recruiting outreach including managing and executing the lead and applicant journey (answering all emails, telephone calls, and walk-in inquiries) and creating and implementing all procedures for recruitment outreach and follow-up with prospects.
- Ensure that all marketing content materials (both printed and online) are up to date and factually represent MS-ESM program goals.
- Create the email communication strategy and writing/sending emails within our marketing automation platform.
- Plan recruiting events such as on and off campus and online information sessions, and traveling to represent MSB at recruiting fairs (domestically/internationally).
- Coordinate with the MS-ESM Program Coordinator to ensure a smooth handoff of applicants for application review and interview scheduling, and of deposited students for continued engagement and support.
- Act as a liason with our external marketing firm to review and monitor paid advertising campaigns for graduate degree programs across the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions portfolio. This includes overseeing the execution of digital, social, search, programmatic, out-of-home, sponsored content, and streaming campaigns; The Associate Director may also support applicant interviews across programs as needed.
Work Interactions
This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions and interacts on an ongoing basis with prospective and enrolling students by providing information in a professional and persuasive manner. This position interacts with the Director of the MS-ESM program and the Staff at Earth Commons Institute to ensure the efficient flow of recruitment and admissions information and participation in recruitment related events. He/she will manage outside vendors for contracts (e.g., catering, marketing vendors). The Associate Director will also coordinate with various Georgetown University offices, such as the Office of Financial Aid and the Veterans Affairs office. It is essential that this individual be professional, and knowledgeable about the MS-ESM and all of MSB and Earth Commons offerings to best guide prospects during their exploratory journey.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 3-5 years of experience
- Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills and strong team orientation
- Critical ability to multitask, prioritize and execute, strong attention for detail
- Experience planning and managing a wide range of events and activities

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
